Welcome to another beautiful New Year at MyArtisticBliss.com and... you know, for the world at large!
I hope your year ended on a high note!! This year I spent my NYE with an intimate gathering of friends playing games and having laughs at a friend's family beach house.
As we stood there counting down the final seconds of 2014, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the life I've been able to live these past 28 years and all the wonderful and beautiful people who have been apart of my existence; family, friends, and acquaintances who have all given me a little piece of themselves. I also felt grateful for all the things I've been able to see, do, and experience so far, and for the opportunity I have to continue to see, do and experience new things as my life moves forward.
As with the beginning of every year, I'm super excited about what is to come this time around. The illusion of a fresh start always gets my creative juices flowing and taps into my imagination. 2014 was a great year for me. I had high hopes and looking back, it didn't disappoint. It definitely had its ups, downs, and challenges, though overall it was a pretty blessed year. I met some pretty important milestones in my education, went on numerous adventures, created some pretty beautiful things, never lacked for anything I needed, traveled with both my family and my boyfriend throughout the year, fell even deeper in love, made strong new friendships, threw some pretty awesome parties, and gained a greater understanding of myself and a clearer picture of my goals for the future.
The most important lessons I learned in 2014 were:
the importance of perseverance... not only in meeting your goals, but also in seeing yourself through tough and challenging times,
to always make time for those most important in your life,
how actively living in gratitude improves both your mood and your relationships,
how essential mutual 'clear and honest' communication is in keeping a romantic relationship strong and fantastic,
if you want to go to a ridiculously awesome party, throw one!!!, and
that there is a fundamental difference between quick rise yeast and bread machine yeast that can mean the difference between beautiful fluffy bread... and a flat mess.
Stay tuned to find out what intentions I'm creating this year! Happy New Year!
