Creating Spaces That Suit You

Revamping a Concrete Block Wall

In life almost anything can become your canvas.

For me and my boyfriend, we decided this plain grey concrete block wall in his backyard needed to add something more than privacy to the space... dare we say... style! With a couple of brushes, a few quarts of paint, and some rolls of painters tape we took this wall from boring to color blocked. Inspired by mid-century modernism we decided to add a bit of color blocked flare to the backyard. It didn't take too much time, nor too much money though added a big impact. The colors we choose for the blocking on the wall were taken from other areas of the backyard. The blue is from the backyard chairs, the red is from the porch awning, and the terracotta was from pots we planted fruit trees in.
